Hello I am Tim,

 Background
Late last century I studied for an Advanced Certificate in Landscape Design and Construction at Wellington Polytechnic. I worked gardening and installing in Wellington for the two years during my study.  I started my landscape design and build business in Hawke's Bay for a year or so before embarking on a journey overseas. 

I worked in London and Denmark over several years both designing and learning many skills from the different landscaping cultures and techniques. We maintained some magnificent Highgate gardens in London for prominent and famous folk. So I have done my time wading into lush herbaceous borders deadheading flowers and mowing perfect stripes in lawns.

Returning to New Zealand in the early noughts I set myself up again landscaping until I had a rush of blood to the head and decided to start an online directory and blog for landscaping in 2004, www.landscapedesign.co.nz.  During that time we created two Ellerslie International Flower Show Exhibition Gardens receiving Merit awards for both.  It is still running to this day with a core client base some of whom have been with me from the start. I kept on with a few design clients during that time but now as of 2017, I am back into it full time.

I work and collaborate with local landscape companies and I can tailor a project to suit your needs and budget.

Design
​
 I design to suit the client brief and the site. My work can be classic, timeless, minimalist or contemporary and at times ‘organic’. I love sculpture and native planting and creating spaces for people relax and appreciate. Sustainability is important to me and this is reflected in my practice as much as possible.
