Design

My design rationale is to respond to the client and the sites needs. This means they are all varied and diverse. I love simplicity and modern lines as much as I love 'old school pretty'. A formal garden can be the perfect response to an older homestead. New Zealand native plants are also a passion and I like exploring the "New Zealand Garden"  by combining our local garden history and plants to achieve a blend of exotic and native.

Living on the east coast in Te Awanga gives me a connection to coastal gardening and I draw inspiration from walking on the beach and our village. I like observing the unique pallet this style of gardening offers.

Background

Since qualifying with an Advanced Certificate in Landscape Design & Construction in 1998 I have worked in the greater landscaping industry in New Zealand, Denmark and United Kingdom. During this time I  gained a wide range of experience and knowledge about landscaping materials, products and design. I have experience both installing landscapes and ongoing maintenance.

I have exhibited at Ellerslie International  Flower Show in 2007 and 2008  both gaining Merit Awards.
