Work in progress. This is a project where the client wanted to remove lawn and create more garden. you can see the contrast im the image to the right. The lawn is gone! Teh edging product is corten steel. Imagine how that is going to look when it has rusted with the changing seasons. Watch this space. May 2019

Maraekakaho  - rural new build

What to do with this space. I suggested a carport that ties in with the garden to suit the clinets needs. We have used rusty chain as downpipes into gabion baskets.

This boardwalk links the house to the car shed and studio. Once the native planting has grown this will be a haven for shade loving plants.

Chambers Estate Pool

A smaller lap pool custom made by Mayfair Pools. The pool wall is slats made form hardwood with negative space between the slats. The hedge is an instand Totara hedge that was planted at 1 meter. It acts as a shelter from the wind and softens the pool fencing.

Below: A shade and dining area was required for this James Jack Architect renovation way back in 2002. This shade pergola features hardwood beams with clear UV protected roofing. The clients live under here in summer  enjoying the cool shade. The water feature of red rock and soft drawn copper quietly connects
