I offer a full design service from an initial consultation to full installation service and project management.  I design swimming pools, gardens, landscapes and structures. I can help you put together your ideas for a small garden or work on a large project.  

Concept Planning

Initial consultation - Site Meeting 
Contact me to discuss your project and make a time to meet on-site. During this meeting we can discuss your vision and dreams for your landscape. I can give you some initial possibilities. If you want to  take the next step I will send a letter outlining how we can work together.  This letter will also include a design brief based on our discussion.

Initial consultations are for the Hawke's Bay area and I can discuss travel options for outside this area.

​Initial Concept Plans
After the initial site visit I will begin work on a concept plan and a base plan outlining where the main areas could be positioned. These are scale sketches with colour defining the basic space layout and some key features and suggested materials.  It can include a colour look and feel board with images or possible plant combinations and samples of possible materials.
I will bring these sketches for a discussion and talk about your preferences and thoughts on the design.
Depending on the site and information available a site survey may be required taking note of all existing features and terrain.

Final Concept Plan
The final concept has more detail and indicates materials and planted areas. It is to scale and has some material specifications. It helps you visualise the plan and can be used as a reference for the project. I also supply thumbnail sketches  to help you visualize the design.  As a concept this is not a definitive plan for materials and the details can be refined during construction.

Planting Plans
Planting plans are an accurate way of setting out where plants will be placed for installers. It gives me the opportunity to get the best plants and combinations into the design.

Construction Plans – Engineering
Some projects require detailed construction plans and where needed I will arrange for construction and engineering calculations (as required for any Council Consent requirements.

Plant Broker  
I source plants from throughout New Zealand and can supply quality plants delivered to your site. I can source large grade established hedges and trees to small 5cm landscape grade pots and many other grades.

Project Management and Installation ​

My project management service includes cost estimates, quoting, liaising with contractors and installers and overseeing the design to completion.  I work with several companies with resources to complete your project to a high professional standard. For busy clients it eliminates the hassle of managing the various trades. It means I can arrange for all aspects of the installation and be one port of call for my clients.
For some new builds your building contractor has taken a lot of pride in building the home to a high standard.  This pride can flow on into the landscape with many hard landscape aspects completed by the builder on some jobs. I can work you or your builder to achieve the best possible construction outcome.
